Channel Groups Window ID?
#1
Can anyone please advise which .xml file controls the channel groups for the Kodi PVR? I don't mean the channel group manager where you can set up your groupings, I mean the window where you can actually chose a group and it will subset your PVR channel list for you. I'm trying to edit the format of it and it is driving me mad not being able to find it. Thanks.

There is no own window or xml for it.
If you mean the dialog of the EPG guide -> DialogSelect.xml. But keep in mind this is a template window, which means your changes will be also applied to other functions where the select dialog is used. You can use conditions if you want different layouts for different scenarios.

Hi, thanks for replying. Yes, that is the window I was searching for, however, yes you are right. I do not want a global change. What I am really looking for is how do I display my channel groups through something like a widget instead. Is that possible do you know?

Ok. Final question then. I am looking for where I can change the colour of the frame for any dialog selects. What skin is that in? Struggling to find it at the minute...

Depends on the skin and the used texture.
I guess it's a texture which is packed in the texture.xbt file.

Do yourself a favour and read the wiki about skinning. That will solve mostly all questions.

@gdogg371 - Digging this thread up as you will probably be interested in this change to the skinning engine: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid...pid2731439

You can now add a list with id="11" to MyPVRGuide.xml - the list will show the available channel groups which can then be selected. This will avoid you having to do a bunch of hacks to get the dialog to stay open.
Arctic Fuse - Alpha now available. Support me on Ko-fi.
