Video glitch + sound distorsion

Exclamation
Hi guys,

I request your help where I've almost tried everything to fix this irritating situation.
I have a Phillips Full HD TV, combined with a Phillips soundbar (connected with an optical cable to the TV) and a Wetek Play 2 (HDMI to the TV).
I use Kodi to stream videos stored on my seedbox library (20Gbps bandwidth). My home broadband is at 1Gbps.
Kodi updated to v17.6. WeOS 3.2 on the Wetek.

Here are the problems that I face:

- Video stops randomly while being played, no error messages, back to Kodi menu
- Video smooth until random stutters, sound distorsion and then back to normal
- Sometimes see the "Source Too Slow For Continuous Playback" message on Kodi
- SPDIF Passthrough not working, only PCM (why HDMI works then, but creates more sound distorsion?)

Here is my config:

Wetek Android latest version
Screen resolution : Auto Switch ON, Deep cooler mode OFF, 1080p-60hz
Kodi : Refresh rate ALWAYS, 80% HQ Renders, Triple buffer
Kodi (sound) : Passthrough ON (AC3, DTS only, soundbar not compatible with E-AC3)
Video while playing: No post-processing, Nearest neighbour

I'm out of ammo guys, I've cleared the cache through Android menu, disabled all Kodi's addons... Nothing has changed.
Let me know if you require a full log file.

Any advices?

Thanks in advance.

Running Kodi on Android on the Wetek is perhaps not the most optimal solution.
Have you tried running LibreELEC off a bootable SD card?

Thank you for your feedback.
It's an option, you're right but I am looking for a solution on Android.
Why do you say Android + Wetek is not the most optimal solution?

The Android OS can have its limitations.
Do a test drive with LibreELEC, and compare the results.
LibreELEC has an official build for the Wetek Play 2.

Hi,

I tried the same configuration through LibreELEC, same problems, less often though...

Any other ideas please?

Thanks

Without a Debug Log that captures your issues no one can help you.

I am especially interested in the LE log.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.
