Hey Everyone, 

I have a HTPC in my lounge, android box in the Bedroom and a Desktop PC in my spare room. The HTPC and desktop PC are connected to the router via Ethernet (Cat7) and the android box is on Wi-Fi. 

I have set up the android box how i like it but I want to back it up. When I try to set it up on the backup tool from the Kodi Repo I am unable to find my PCs in the network. The PCs can find each other using Windows Explorer but not using Kodi and i have a drive shared over the network. My Android phone is also not able to find the shared folder on the network using the back up or file manager in Kodi.

I'm gonna guess that all your Windows PC's are still using Samba v1, while Kodi 17.3+ & 18 now default to Samba v2, which is more strict (user+password required) and network browsing is no longer supported.
