For a couple of years ago I had a skin where I got at list with next unviewed episode of recently viewed tv show on the first page, but I updatet kodi and that skin was not supported anymore. So when I started kodi I only had to push the mouse button one time to start next episode. Now I have the default skin and I have to first choose show, season and then episode. Are there any skin that have that function? It's not a big deal, but it was a little easyer

Which skin were you using? Was it Confluence? If yes, you can still install it for v17

I can't remeber which skin it was. But it was not the default skin.
The screen shows, a column on the left where I choose category like movie, tv shows.... The column to the right was splittet horisontal where the list of episode was listed at the bottom part and info at top
Or somethings like this, I barely remember.
