Hi. I'm using Kodi 17.6 on a Linux Mint 18.3 system with NVidia 1060 card. Below is the inxi -F of the machine.
I have some movie 4K movie files on an USB hard drive directly attached to the machine and I'm trying to play back those videos through Kodi. The playback is horrible no matter which 4K movie I play. It is laggy, choppy and drops frames all around. Playback is perfectly smooth on 1080p videos. I'm lost on how to solve this issue. Played with a few video settings in the System menu and that still did not help. Below is the pastebin URL of the Kodi log where I tried to play Cars 3 in 4K.

Can someone please guide me on how to solve this issue? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
