Pi 3 B+ running newest OSMC freezes/hangs with PVR WMC enabled
#1
Pretty much just what the title says - OSMC running PVR WMC on a Pi 3 B+ freezes. If I disable PVR WMC then OSMC works fine. As soon as I enable this add-on, it freezes while looking up guide information. I can restart it and then it will allow me to watch a few minutes or so of content before it freezes. If I don't watch video, it will freeze in less than a half hour on its own.

I've checked the server-side logs and don't see anything interesting - requests just stop coming from the Pi. Nothing very interesting happening in the logs on the Pi, either. It does look like one CPU will get pegged at 100% just before it hangs, though. During this time the Pi is unresponsive and any SSH connections to it will close and time out after that.

I'm happy to provide any further information, but I can't tell if it's on the OSMC-side or the PVR-side, except for the fact that the Pi will freeze just after this add-on is enabled.

Thanks for the great add-on though! I've been using it prior to this new 3 B+ for about a year with very little issue; cheers!

What version of kodi and what version of pvr.wmc?  Provide the serverwmc log (see debug tab) during a freeze (even better if you restart swmc just before you make it freeze).

Krusty,

Sorry I didn't include that information initially. ServerWMC version is 1.0.0.62 build 1244, PVR WMC is 1.4.9. Kodi is 17.6.

Logs here: https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/mfzmb6GCmy/. I included the full day's logs so server start is visible. This particular freeze started at timestamp 15:21:15.913. There are also 5 or 6 additional freezing instances in that log.

I don't see a problem in the logs.  How are you determining the addon version?

Just from the OSMC addon console. If I transposed a number of something it was because I did it from memory. I believe it should be the latest.

As it turns out, I had a faulty pi 3 b+. I received an RMA and the new one is working fine with brief tests. Thanks for the help.
