I use TVHeadend to record to a specific folder on my server.
I use to have this folder set up as a TV source, in Kodi, so that new programs would automatically show up with metadata and fanart.
This seemed to work fine - whenever a new episode was added, the recording folder would lose its "watched" status, indicating that there was something I had yet to watch.
However, I noticed that a few recordings were going missing and it dawned on me that if a recording was not recognised by the TVDB, it would just not show up.
I decided to instead add the recording folder as an unspecified source, which just shows me the file names but, as mentioned above, I don't get the parent folder tick when all the files inside have been ticked.
It would be really great if this might be added to a future edition - unless it might already be possible.
