TrueHD DTS not working ubuntu 18.04 Kodi 17.6
#1
I recently built a new HTPC with a AMD Raven Ridge 2400G processor.  I have used libreelec for years but have not been able to install on new system yet. I was able to get the new Ubuntu 18.04 installed recently though. I was able to disable pulse audio and set up alsa for passthrough audio but am not able to get true hd or DTS to work.   Any help is greatly appreciated, I am new to ubuntu so not sure if I have everything set up correctly.  Here is a link to a log

Edit forgot to mention I have a denon x2300w receiver.

Kernel bug - has nothing to do with kodi. Try with 4.16 kernel.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

Sweet I got it working. I was using kernals that were higher but my system kept freezing. I set a specific user account (I named it HTPC HD Audio) to leverage this.
