You drive us crazy with your questions / mixing things.
What does the one issue has to do with the other?!?

If you do not want to provide log files, we cannot help you with your startup problems.

Cache files (as the name suggest) are generated image files for caching (doh!).
So we do not need to access your datasource for GUI images.
You decide, if you want to keep em, or not.
Furthermore, you complained about the same a year ago here , so...

Ah, very sorry!

I could imagine the amount of files effects the size of the cashe, RAM needed. And if there is not enough RAM, cashe available for tMM it won't start. But, of course, I do not have any idea.

I would think that is out of question, I do need them to access data / information on drives not being plugged in.

No, no, I didn't complain at all. I am wondering how you could think so, I just wanted to know wether one could reduce the space tMM needs.

as seen in your other post - I suppose your machine does not have enough free RAM (unfragmented!!)
This is one of the shortcomings of Java - you need the specified amount of heap space FREE and UNFRAGMENTED on startup of the JVM.. if that is not the case, Java itself does not even start.

so as suggested in the other topic: SHRINK YOUR LIBRARY!!

a1) create an own tmm folder/installation for only TV shows
a2) create an own tmm folder/installation for only movies

if that does not help, split it further until it works.
if not - get more RAM, a 64bit Java and increase the heap memory
