With the corrupt database I meant the video database (MyVideos119).

You mentioned that the Skin Helper Service "searches for missing data on movies or tv shows and stores them in simpelcache.db", because of this corrupted database.
But there is no simplecache.db on my system.
If you use the Titan skin you always have a simpelcache.db.
"\userdata\addon_data\script.module.simplecache\simpelcache.db"
But this file is not the issue.

Check your video database or create a new video database.
How can I check my database?
The problem is, that I have no problems with my database. No errors in the log file or other problems.
Only these Update... messages from Skin Helper Service which appear in the log until the machine freezes.
I tried two other skins, but there are no such problems.

So I don't know how to check the database.

I exported the complete database, that each movie has its own .nfo file, to easily create a new database.
But if I delete the database, Kodi will to a database migration on next boot, that I don't have the chance to start with a complete new and empty database.

And I don't want do delete my old Kodi 18 database, because it seems that I have to go back to my old Kodi 18 installation when Titan skin doesn't work for me on Kodi 19 :-((

It's a big mistake to just upgrade (even partly) from one major Kodi version to another one.
To make sure Kodi Matrix works you should clear Kodi data, uninstall Kodi Leia, then install Kodi Matrix.

I just did a clean install of Kodi Matrix 19.4 on a Ubuntu 22.04 (also clean install) and when using this skin it freezes up and becomes unresponsive, and the only way to get it working again is to kill Kodi and restart it, anyone else having this issue?

Thanks, UbuntuUser

You may have a Python problem.

The weather and clock should be displayed on the homescreen.
What homescreen layout are you using?
What are your settings for weather and clock?

I'm using Netflix origin layout, I just tried some other layouts, and it's working fine

Can this be easily fixed on the Netflix origin layout? Thanks

There has never been a time or weather info with this layout.
I'll have another look at the layout and maybe add a switch for the time.

That would be great, thanks for looking into this!

You can already test it here: Netflix2home_timeinfo.zip
This function will be integrated in my next update.

I had looked at this thread before I even installed 22.04 and I assumed from the last post that it was fixed in Python 3.10.5, which it is but Python 3.10.4 is the newest version from the repo.  So I had to figure out how to upgrade it to Python 3.10.5, but I did and it seems to be working fine now.  Thanks.

Hi,
unfortunately I have to say that the error from my post #2508 is back. For four days everything ran problem-free and now the Kodi log fills again with the "Update..." messages until the device freezes.

It can not be that again the database is defective? I have just rebuilt it from scratch, with the current Kodi and Titan Skin. No other device is accessing the database at the moment.

You might want to have a look at the Coreelec forum.
It looks like you are not the only one with database problems.

Thank you. I will clear my user appdata folder and try again.

Thanks for the help guys. Aphykit2006, it was indeed the openwizard that was the culprit. I guess I had left my kodi roaming folder intact when I installed the skin. Apologies to Fuchs2468 and appreciate the heads up. Noted.

@Fuchs2468, thank you for the link.

This could be the problem. I used MariaDB on a Synology Server.
Because I have a separate Linux server running, I moved my database to this server, hoping that it will run better on that system.

I will monitor this and report back in a few days.
