As the question in the topic says... Will kodi 18 feature the option of running 9.1 surround sound? At the moment you can only go up to 7.1. Also i was wondering on weather anyone knew which setting I can currently use for my 9.1 system? I'm guessing it won't work on either 5.1 or 7.1 ?

Wouldn't it be better to use passthru in this case?  Then Kodi doesn't need to worry about the channel format at all
