I use the upnp server feature of Kodi to serve media to my Sony TV (non-smart, but has network features). Everything works fine except: when i browse to Video Library>Movies>xyz and play a file, i am unable to seek/forward/rewind. But if i play the same file from Video Library>Files>xyz, the seek feature works fine.
I know i can just browse through the Files section, but its hard to find recently added media that way.
Is there any fix to this? Any changes i can make to my Kodi to fix this?
EDIT: Another way to put this question: Is there a difference in the way Kodi serves a file when going through Movies/TV Shows section versus going through Files section?
