Hello all. i have finally set up TV through NextPVR. I love the concept and will work well with Kodi when I finally get there too. However, there are many times during watching live tv that the picture freezes and the sound keeps going or just stops completely. I have an old Hauppauge WinTV internal tuner and a pretty bad internet connection speed. Would those affect the quality of the picture and sound issues?

How is your reception? If it's poor on some channels, and the signal cuts out, Kodi may be have badly during playback.

The reception is OK. Sometimes it pixelates but it doesn't freeze like NextPVR does. I am looking at getting a new tuner and I was wondering if that would solve the issue?

I don't know if new hardware would fix it or not - it's not clear what the problem is.
Does the video play fine in NextPVR's UI?
PC tuners often have worst reception than a real TV, and as such need a better signal.
