Use Kodi Scrapper with non video files ?
#1
Hello,

For a particular use, i have several files like :
Movie_Title.YEAR.QUALiTY.txt

These are .txt files, what i want is that Kodi adds the correct movie to the gallery. Just to get the information about Plot, Actors, etc...

I went to Kodi setting but i did not find anything for that

not sure what you're trying to do but .... you could rename the *.txt to a video extension eg. *.mkv , *.mp4 etc  Basically, creating a "Fake" movie file.

(Windows will ask "Are You Sure you want to rename?" click OK)

Kodi will add it to the Library with all the relevent info (plot/actors/year etc) scrapped from TMDB/IMDB etc ... except it won't display Quality/Resolution/Audio Video Codec etc

Because Kodi grabs that info by mediainfo scrapping a video file ... it won't mediainfo scrape a text document

That is possible, but not using .txt

Rename the extension to .disc
