Hello all,

I have a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B Vi.2 which I installed RASPBIAN STRETCH LITE and kodi 17 and now i am trying to install Netflix using this guide. https://thevpn.guru/netflix-kodi-17-kryp...tall-xbmc/

But when i try to install Chrome launcher it doesnt do anything. 
Is it because i havent setup VPN or Am i doing something totally wrong.

you need a Kodi 18 nightly for Netflix. Easiest way to do is to just install a Milhouse LibreElec nightly and follow the instructions in this post https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid...pid2467317

Stay away from that kind of sites. You don't need vpn and that add-on is really old, don't think it works anymore.

That addon requires chrome launcher. Does rasbian have X11 to run chrome or is it just libreelec that does not have it?

Raspbian has X11, a custom LXDE desktop environment, and has Chromium installed on it, but due to how Kodi is normally compiled for max performance on the Raspberry Pi, launching external programs while it is running, won't work. I didn't check what kind of addon is the one that the op mentioned, but what I said is true if you try to launch any external graphical (X11) program through an addon while Kodi is running on the Raspberry Pi.
To watch Netflix on Kodi you need Kodi 18, and it won't be available on Raspbian until it reaches stable. You can try LibreELEC Kodi 18 Milhouse builds and the OSMC test builds which I think do support Netflix through an addon.

That add-on is outdated. Netflix is best working with inputstream.adaptive and Kodi 18 using libwidevine directly these days. So no need for Chromelauncher, any X11 env etc
