@wrxtasy we need your Leia 18 build!  Big Grin
I am not even going to discuss CE Alpha software in an Android sub forum.
Ask the CE guys to fix 2160p fractional display modes on S9xx devices if that is what you are testing on.

You are right! Thanks

Hi,
I got my Shield TV (2017) and KODI 18 nighlies running.

But framerateswitching only works for my UHD mkv files. For my BD iso
files it will not switch. Is this a known issue?

Regards, Stefan

No. It's a known limitation of nvidia shield.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

So, is it really based on BD iso? Switching files to mkv will
make it work?

O.k. tested some BD iso files converted to .mkv and only
the m2ts file. No framerateswitching for 1080p files, for all
my UHD files it is working.

So it is NVIDIA firmware issue? If so, somebody knows they
are working on it?

Or is it working with Kodi17?

Mmm... What would be the limitation specifically for shield and specifically for iso's?

First I was wondering if it‘s iso related, but it‘s not. Same with these movies
converted to .mkv and directly m2ts file.

No Debug Log no issue ...

So this sounds different, before it sounded like known and nothing
that we can do Smile

So here is the log:
https://pastebin.com/ia0LSxNz

UI was at 2160p 60 Hz, started BD iso didn‘t switch. Started UHD mkv file the
framerate got switched to 24/23,976 Hz and HDR flag was sent. Stopping movie
and it switched back to 60 Hz without HDR flag. Started another BD iso and framerate
stayed at 60 Hz again.

So all fine with UHD mkv but not for 1080p 24 Hz files from BD. These files even they
are converted to mkv or tryed the m2ts files directly.

For other UHD testfiles with different framerates and as mp4, ts, m2ts and mkv the
framerateswitching works too.

It seems, that KODI doesn‘t recognize the framerate of the 1080p files and so it stays
with the framerate of the UI.

Nothing was changed.

Strange but it‘s working now.

Only installation over the old one shouldn‘t be the reason,
did that before and it didn‘t resolve the issue.

solved with whitelist Wink

Not in my case, because I tryed the whitelist before and the same whitelist
was active before and after the installation. But only after, it does the frame-
rateswitching.

But the installation file was much bigger. It has 150 MB, don‘t know why
because newer once are now smaller again.

It accidentally includes retro player binary add-ons.
