In a pvr addon, I'm buffering at least 1 second worth of data when a livestream is opened yet frequently I see a blackscreen with audio for several seconds, the the buffering progress indicator briefly appears, and then video/audo restart.

This is a non-demuxing addon. Anyone else dealt with this issue, and if so, can you share (or point to) your solution?

To receive meaningful assistance you will need to provide a full debug log.

If you are using the Basic Method, then ensure the following is applied...
1.Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging,
2.Restart Kodi
3.Replicate the problem.

If you are using the Advanced Method ensure you have correctly created and applied the advancedsettings.xml file.

In both instances, you should see the word DEBUG throughout the log.

I tuned the same channel 3 times.

first time was normal start up

second had a brief (<1s) blackscreen

third had a significant (>3s) blackscreen (w/audio playing)
