TV show issues

I am new to TMM, the feature list is most impressive.

I have Movies scraping on all is working well. Thank you.
TV shows are giving me some issues. I am sure that it is my fault so I am in need some guidance.
First off this is on MacOS
The issue comes when I add new episodes to a season.

I place the recorded episodes in the season folder.
I launch TMM
update data source
scrape TV shows (New Episodes)
Rename (Selected)

All the Shows scrape as expected with all the art.

However TMM shows duplicate episodes with some listed as NEW.
Also some episodes (but not all) are renamed repeating the season/episode

Example:

Last Week Tonight with John Oliver - S05E06 - Episode 125
becomes:
Last Week Tonight with John Oliver – S05E06 - S05E06 - Episode 125
Or even:
Last Week Tonight with John Oliver – S05E06 – S05E06 - S05E06 - Episode 125

Any idea what I may be doing wrong?

Thank you

I had no time to reproduce that issue, but I am sure, that "S05E06" AND "Episode 125" is recognized as an episode token, so this file has been detected as a multi episode file (S05E06 and S01E25)..
need to have a talk to myron (he is the episode pattern specialist Big Grin) how to handle that..

Try to scrape with some other scraper, like IMDB (correct the errors first!)
They seem to have some fine episode titles.
Using "episode xy" as title like TVDB is hillarious, and would conflict everyone parsing such file names...

Would even think of bulk renaming your files, and remove the last episodeXX pattern.
Then start complete clean, by deleting all NFOs, and reimport into TMM

Edit:
hav eto check if we did something wrong here.
"Episode 125" IS S05E06... and duplicate SAME episode should never happen....

Edit2:
Can you upload your logfiles to some pastebin sites?
Cannot reproduce here - although duplicate names, it is correctly detected...

Thank you for the reply.
The problem does not only happen with this show and naming.
I happens to random episodes in random shows.

To be as clear as I can. The show and episodes scrape fine on the first scan.
The name changes appear to happen when I update data sources after I move a new episode into a show season.

I will try to upload a log when I get home this evening

thank you again

Hmm- I too have an installation running on MacOS - 2.9.13 snapshot

Shows are detected, and renamed as expected !
Scraper: TheTVDB
Renaming pattern:
TV show folder name: $N ($Y)
Season folder name: Season $2
Episode file name: $N - S$2E$E - $T

Incl. the John Oliver talkshow, without problems...
