Well subject says it.

Running KodiBuntu

Did:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

after that the image quality was more faded, black is not black, hard to describe, yet pretty simple

But ..at a loss where to look. Tried installing the latest nvidia driver, no luck, tried adding some options in Xorg.conf for RGB full range etc.

I know this might be vague but if someone could point me in the right direction I will apreciate it!

(I googled about for 2 days now.)

FYI, the Nvidia driver in Linux is already handicapped, as it only supports 8bit video, and not 10bit video.
For the rest, get us a full debug log (wiki) so we can have some insight in the internals of your Kodibuntu contraption as well as the played video(s).
