Solved Issue with MySQL & large music libraries resulting in duplicate artists
#16
Humm.... which nightly was that? No matter, please try the alpha3 release http://mirrors.kodi.tv/snapshots/windows...a3-x64.exe (or a current nightly)

The JSON music changes I was making, including the fix to your issue (adding the ORDER BY statement), have now merged. Sorry I forgot to post here, I was in a race to get the JSON changes in before the Beta feature (or any big changes) freeze. I have update the JSON changes thread,  updating my other music dev threads was going to be my job for today (honestly).

Obviously feedback how using the current nightly goes.

Finally I had the chance to rebuild my linux test environment and retest.

The nightly build label shown in System Information is: Kodi 18.0-BETA1 Git:20180802-8384518

Of course, as @DaveBlake mentioned - the issue is fixed. I did many tests and can confirm that all the previously broken scenarios related to this issue are fixed (including end-to-end, Kodi LEIA to app).

Leia is shaping up as another great kodi release. Thanks Dave!
