just updated my shield too 17.6 and i have noticed that in the power options (gearwheel) tab theres only exit? on all my other devices i have reboot sleep hibernate etc.
why is that?

Post a clean debug log (wiki) that replicates the problem and shows you're not using any of the banned addons (wiki), and maybe someone can take a look.
That said, I'd like someone to confirm what the options are on 17.6 on a Shield anyway. It may be that it's a skin issue, or a platform issue, in which case it's "functionality as intended".
