Australian Free TV channel Add-ons

I just reformatted my PC, and looking for my old addons.
So, this thread went wildly off topic and locked.
https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=317105

But had this good info:
Quote:You can find the repository for Australian Catch-Up TV here... https://github.com/xbmc-catchuptv-au/repo
The repo at the link has addons for ABC, SBS, and Nine.
But I also used to have Seven and Ten. I guess from a different addon. Anybody know where to get them?

For live TV I use this:
https://www.matthuisman.nz/2017/08/au-fr...dd-on.html

But more interested in their on demand etc.

Ok, that is a shame. Its been a while since I used the Aussie add-on repository and I knew Ch7 & 10 were in there, but they have disappeared.

On further search, it looks like a DMCA Takedown is the reason... http://aussieaddons.com/

Another unfair takedown of some non-infringing add-ons that accessed free-to-air content.

I hope to eventually make a "Freeview Plus" KODI add-on.
So,no individual on-demand add-ons would be needed.

Also plan to do that for New Zealand freeview as well.

I'm very late on replying to this thread - but hopefully it helps someone;

The 7Plus Addon can be downloaded/installed from here:
removed
Ive tested it working on Kodi 17.6 as at the 9/7/2019 (posting the date, incase it gets pulled in the future)

Unfortunately that site promotes piracy and thus by our piracy policy (wiki) links to it are not allowed here.

You sound like you know Kodi really well. I'm in Australia and I need to migrate away from Windows Media Center which I've used for years. WMC did everything I wanted so is Kodi a good replacement for WMC? I'm running a PC on Win 7

I have tons of TV shows already recorded with WMC. Will Kodi play all those shows easily?

Will Kodi read the TV guide to select show to record etc?

I have a HTPC with a twin tuner. Will Kodi allow me to record 2 live shows while I watch a recording, pause Live TV etc etc just the same as WMC?

Thanks in advance

@gavrrr

I never used WMC, but I assume the recordings are standard .ts files or similar? Kodi should be able to play them. There is a WMC sub-forum here, so it may be worth looking in there for info... https://forum.kodi.tv/forumdisplay.php?fid=205
You will probably need to rename the files so Kodi can recognise them correctly if you want to scrape them into the library.

I am also in Australia and after TiVO shut down, I purchased a quad tuner and installed it in the HTPC I built back in 2013. I installed NextPVR and it works great. I can record 4 stations at once (doesn't happen often). Recordings I can cut out the commercials and move them into my Kodi library.

For the PVR component to work in Kodi, you need to install a backend server. After that is setup and working correctly, install the corresponding add-on from the Kodi repo, adjust your settings and it should automagically work. You can then view the Free To Air guide and schedule recordings, recurring recordings, as well as set rules for titles to be recorded when they are eventually broadcast.

If you are just getting started with Kodi, then some of the links in My Signature will be helpful

If anybody is looking for 7 PLUS and 10 they are available  outside Aussie addons.

Go to Whirlpool forums and search Kodi Aussie addons.
