What is the default fanart file path with Kodi/LibreElec?

The local thumbnail cache for all fanart can be found in the ./kodi/userdata/Thumbnails.

My question was incomplete: what is the path and filename of the default fanart? I have some cartoon character as default fanart, so any movie and series without fanart will have this. I'd like to change it to something more appropriate.

Found the path, but there are a dozen folders with dozens of files which have random names..

I deleted every file under ./kodi/userdata/Thumbnails but the default fanart is still the same cartoon. So there must be another location where the default fanart is saved?

The Texture Cache Maintenance utility can help you identify, refresh, delete artwork

Finally found it after well over an hour of searching. It's not on Kodi's folders, it's in the source folder. So the default fanart is in my case under /mnt/Movies/fanart.jpg

Would be nice if this was documented somewhere.

I googled as well, and visited some of those (and many other) pages. None of them tell how and where the default fanart is stored or used.

From the TV Show artwork page:

You will literally be 10 lines away from your answer.

I didn't find that page by googling, but doesn't help, as tvshows folder is empty.

Thanks for the added snark in true OS fashion.

Ended up deleting all fanart from the NAS drives, and re-installing Kodi, now it's gone.

Question in OP remains unanswered, though.

Klojum answered your first question. You didn't mention you had your own artwork, but pkscout provided the links to the wiki to answer your revised question (first link, section 2).
