XBMC Ubuntu PPAs (precompiled PPA builds for Ubuntu)
Hold on are you telling me that XBMC for Linux will not run on my PS3, my dreambox, my xbox360, my cable box, my popcornhour box, a tivo box, a tissue box, a pizza box, Nirvana's Heart Shaped Box, my Cap'n Crunch cereal box, Valve's Orange Box, a vintage 1986 transformers lunch box, the black box from Oceanic Flight 815, Ernest & Julio Gallo's White Zinfandel in a box, a Jack in the Box, or Pandora's box?

Will it run on my Amiga 500? Big GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig Grin

There's a mom joke to be had here...

Nope, won't run on your Mom's box either! There, it had to be said....

18:18:31 T:3067602784 M: 18567168 ERROR: GL ERROR: invalid value
18:18:31 T:3067602784 M: 18567168 ERROR: In file:GUIFontTTF.cpp function:Begin line:815

Do you have any ideas?

@zor0,
I would suggest you post your hardware specifications.

And do that quick, before devs start to curse at you! Smile

P.S. Blocks you say? Looks like encoding problem. What language you have XBMC and your system setup at?

This may be glaringly obvious to the majority, but ive not seen it written here so ill mention it...
I had the same issue with XBMC launching, then closing immediately after (u see the splash, then dies before u see the menu)
Reason - my graphics card. It was a very very old gfx card, once i replaced it with a slightly newer one (FX5700) it worked.
Just thought id mention it so if anyone is having similar issues, check to make sure your hardware is good enough for XBMC!

Any chance we´ll see an 8.10 Repo soon?
Or is the svn Repo good enough?

You can use the repo for HARDY. worked fine for me Wink

Last time I used the hardy ppa on 8.10 it was very buggy. Crash on just about anything to do with network. Built for SVN and it has been almost flawless.

I added SVN PPA but I cannot find xbmc in repository (I did find xbmc if I add hardy PPA). Something wrong?

What should 8.10 users use then? The Hardy PPA?
