Thanks,
If I type "sudo apt-get remove xbmc<tab>"
I get
I can let it complete "xbmc-comm" to "xbmc-common" but I am not getting any version numbers. I also typed the *, but I thought those were to indicate where to use tab.
If I type "sudo apt-get remove xbmc<tab>"
I get
Code:
xbmc xbmc-skin-ceomr
xbmc-common xbmc-skin-clearity
xbmc-eventclients-common xbmc-skin-containment
xbmc-eventclients-dev xbmc-skin-mc360
xbmc-eventclients-j2me xbmc-skin-mediastream
xbmc-eventclients-ps3 xbmc-skin-mint
xbmc-eventclients-wiiremote xbmc-skin-pdm
xbmc-live xbmc-skin-pm3
xbmc-scripts-example xbmc-skin-pm3-hd
xbmc-scripts-supported xbmc-skin-vision
xbmc-skin-amped xbmc-skin-xtv
xbmc-skin-backrow xbmc-standalone
xbmc-skin-basics101 xbmc-web-pm3
xbmc-skin-basics-vision
I can let it complete "xbmc-comm" to "xbmc-common" but I am not getting any version numbers. I also typed the *, but I thought those were to indicate where to use tab.
spozen Wrote:I believe he wants the latest version:
Code:sudo apt-get remove xbmc* xbmc-common* xbmc-skin* xbmc-web* xbmc-eventclients-*
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install xbmc xbmc-common xbmc-eventclients xbmc-skin* xbmc-web*
You should obviously not just copy this, instead use tab and complete the lines yourself eg:
You type:
sudo apt-get remove xbmc, then you press tab so ubuntu can autocomplete the complete name eg: xbmc-common_9.04.3+svn23539-jaunty1_i386 or something like that.
Hopefully you will understand what i mean, tab is were useful.
