Letterkenny Season 5 not scraping
#1
Hi,
Have been watching letterkenny. For some reason season 5 is not scraping.
Debug log here: https://pastebin.com/UtZX8GB6
It says it cannot find a match for each episode, although it has the air date as 01/01/1601.
All other seasons scraped fine, same naming convention on the files.
Any ideas? tvdb problem?

(or do you need debug logging already on when Kodi starts up?)

@budswell

Yes, Debug Log needs to be enabled first, then restart Kodi.

But, before you redo the log...

1. Go to your Source
2. bring up the context menu and select Change Content
3. Go into Settings and disable DVD Order. Also make sure Absolute Order is disabled.
4. Try scraping the show now.

Make sure you capture the above steps in the Debug Log. If it does not work, post the above new debug log.

OK, that worked thanks (after I updated the timestamps of the files).
So it was the DVD order which caused the issue?
I normally have that checked (because it gives correct episode order for Firefly)
Thanks heaps for your help

No problems.

Yes the DVD Order is the issue. It is only an issue now because of all the changes TVDB have made to their website. It is a bit of a mess now and not everything works as it used to. One big issue is DVD Order are not being saved correctly for new episodes. But rather than seeing this as an urgent priority, The TVDB seemingly have ignored the major flaw.

What I tend to do is once I have scraped a show, and the info is all perfect to my own standards, then I use the Export function and export to separate files (nfo files). That way if I have to rebuild my library, the info is already there and I don't have to rely on TVDB or other providers. Link is in My Signature below for more info.

Hello,

I searched online and it brought me to tris forum, so I registered to post my problem question. For Letterkenny I have 3 episodes that don’t show up in the list and it’s a very frustrating problem.

Season 4, episode 0, The Haunting of Modeans
Season 5, episode 0, Super Hard Easter
Season 6, episode 0, The Three Wise Men

I have them named “Letterkenny S04E00 The Haunting of Modeans.mkv” and so on...

How do I fix theses missing files so Kodi can pick them up? HHHHEEEELLLLPPPP!!!!!

Did some digging and fixed two of these issues, they are numbered wrong, but still have Season 6 episode 0, which matches on IMDb

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4647692/episodes

Any suggestions?

There is no use trying to match IMDB. There is no IMDB scraper.

Data comes from either TheMovieDB or TheTVDB, depending which scraper you are using.
So check the correct site and number your episodes accordingly.
E00 is not used by either of those sites.

It was the specials throwing me off. I realized when I compared the episode naming used on themoviedb site. I’m using S0x so S02, S03, and S04 are the correct matching names to append to the file. Now that’s working Smile

Yeah I was cross referencing from there to find the episodes were in the right season and named correctly, but being specials I was trying to use their naming convention and also go by the naming suggestions on the Kodi wiki.

Can I get your help on another Title that is not scraping correctly? It’s New York City Inferno (1978). Here’s the listing for it, but it’s not pulling the info, and a search in Kodi doesn’t find the entry either. I’m running late start and fresh install of Kodi on Mac.
https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/298725-...ty-inferno

Btw thanks

I wanted to pm you (karellen) but the email didn’t allow anything to open. I have another one that’s missing and would rather know how to correct them both than asking about it, but I wonder if there’s a filter blocking x-rated or adult content, because these both are listed on tmdb site, but Kodi won’t scrape them 🤔
I’m also referring to “Passing Strangers (1974)” https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/505704-...-strangers

I appreciate your help Smile

Yes that is the problem. They are both rated as Adult.
Are these two movies Porn? They don't look like it.
The Adult rating is meant for Porn, but whoever entered those entries to TMDB marked the as Adult, not really knowing what that meant.

Kodi scrapers won't scrape Porn titles by default. You have a few options...

1. If you have a TMDB account, remove the Adult tag.
2. Type in the TMDB id as shown here... https://kodi.wiki/view/Add-on:The_Movie_...hon#Search
3. Use a Parsing NFO file... https://kodi.wiki/view/NFO_files/Parsing

Also, these are movies, so best not to ask in the TV Show section in future.

I don’t have an account on their site. Yeah they are gay historical films and include graphic sexual scenes so I understand the tag. How would you fix this aiming for the easiest/fastest or simplest route? I was looking into the xbmc-adult repo but it’s been abandoned since 2020, and installing it doesn’t add anything or give special menu options etc.

Thanks
