Hello @stefive83

Two things...

1. I will move your post to Windows forum
2. Can you please upload your logs to https://paste.ubuntu.com/ or similar. We don't like downloading files.

@Stali0N

I can't really see what the problem is. Looks like Kodi loads ok, you see the home screen, then the Update Library for video and music starts, and that is where it ends.

Can you disable the automatic updates and see if it crashes. Then resubmit a log if it does crash.

Unless someone sees something that I have missed, this is just going to be a process of elimination.

@"stefive83" didn't have debug logging turned on, not enough information in a plain log to deduce much.

@Stali0N plugin.video.vstream" vStream repository and vstream are banned add-ons, no support.

@Karellen  Thanks for the reply. What is strange it the fact that the library auto update isn't activated.

Other strange thing is if I reboot windows 8.1 and start Kodi it will load without crashing. Here is the log when I start it without issue. The log also include the shutdown of kodi using the exit button. --> https://paste.kodi.tv/orimakeves.kodi

I've tried to activate library auto update = same issue
Deactivated library auto update = same issue
Deactivated addons auto updates = same issue

Maybe the issue isn't in Kodi maybe it's Windows 8.1 32 bits that is having and issue running kodi. I've kodi installed onto two other PC running Windows 8.1 64 bits without any issue with same addons.

@PatK Vstream isn't the cause of the issue. Kodi will crash or windows will crash kodi the same with a brand new clean install of Kodi.

Thank you!

@Stali0N

Even if Vstream is not the cause of the issue, it is still a breach of our Forum Rules and makes you ineligible for support until your Kodi has been cleaned of the banned items.

Please read our Forum Rules and view our example list of Banned Add-ons (wiki).

The forum moderators have determined that Banned_addons (wiki) are present on your system. To receive assistance here, these banned items must be removed. If a clean log is not submitted within 3 days, then the relevant post(s) will be removed after this time.

We've had plenty of banned add-ons in the past that affected core Kodi functionality. Apart from the whole banned add-ons situation, you don't want to test a program that has one or more shady characters in the background.

So, kindly remove the vstream repository and related add-ons (activated or deactivated) from your Kodi device, or we'll simply stop support as per forum rules (wiki).

Sorry about the banned addon. I've deleted and reinstalled Kodi.

Here is the log of clean install of kodi with same issue. --> https://paste.kodi.tv/qumasojini.kodi

Here is the log of clean install of kodi after a reboot of windows. As stated earlier kodi will start and work well. I've Exitted Kodi using the "Power" button. Maybe this log can explain what isn't correct... --> https://paste.kodi.tv/atipadofoq.kodi

Thanks in advance.

Debug Mode is not enabled, so not a lot to see, but we can see the log ends abruptly. I have a suspicion it is related to audio.

Are your audio drivers correctly set up in Windows?

My bad I forgot to put back the advanced setting file.

So here it's;

Clean install of kodi with same issue. --> https://paste.kodi.tv/izodubobap.kodi

Clean install of kodi after a reboot of windows. As stated earlier kodi will start and work well. I've Exitted Kodi using the "Power" button. Maybe this log can explain what isn't correct... --> https://paste.kodi.tv/opofagopob.kodi

For the audio driver since I'm not having issue with audio I would guess the drive is correct.

Thanks again!
