The albums you refer to have two album artists, and as such need a some care while tagging.
They are on Musicbrainz as

Although I use Mp3tag regularly I don't know what the Discogs addon to Mp3tag actually does. I would recommend tagging these albums using Picard, which will add Musicbrainz Id tags that make subsequent scraping of additional artist and album information more accurate. Musicbrainz also have more than one release of each album - pick the one that best matches what you have especially number of tracks/discs.
Please ensure that you also add an albumartists (note the S) tag with value "Beth Hart / Joe Bonamassa" that Kodi can use to identify the individual artists and match then to the two mbids that Picard will add. The next issue with albums with multiple artists is that v17 and below only handles local art for artists that are the only album artist, and have all their albums in one folder. Leia will handle this far better.
The Universal Artist scraper fetches art from TADB, Fanart.tv and allmusic sites, not from Musicbrainz itself, but having mbids makes the lookup of this art faster. If the scraper is not finding art it could be that the artists have not been correctly identified from the tagging (check that first), or simply that these sites do not have any art for these artists.
