I am not a technical person so have been trying unsuccessfully to solve this problem, when in File Manager, add source, when I begin typing the OK button will not highlight. Any suggestions, I have exhausted all I can see on YouTube.

You will need to give more details as I am not clear where you are when that happens.

What are you typing and in which field
Which version Kodi are you using
Which skin do you have installed.
What Source are you adding to File Manager. Should you be in the Media Source section instead?

A screenshot will be useful also.
