From some testing, chapter skip or chapter select in the bookmarks dialog only works reliably if the Mastroka file contains both chapter start and chapter end times. However, only the chapter start time is mandatory and the end time is optional. It would be nice if only the chapter start times were used as it is easier to manually add chapters to mkv using the simpler format. Probably more of a feature request.

Just to update this in case anyone finds thread in a search. I did a lot more testing with a tighter test environment. I see now that the chapter end is not needed. The critical thing is that there needs to be a chapter set at time 00:00:00.000 or chapter skip doesn't work correctly. At least in mkv files. I haven't taken a close look but assume ffmpeg is used to get the chapters out of the video file during playback.
