Kodi crashing when selecting any channel.
#1
Almost every time selecting a channel from the "TV" PVR menu item  crashes Kodi on my Ubuntu 16.04 server.

It used to work great.

I see this message in the logs frequently   "WARNING: CreateLoader - unsupported protocol(pvr) in pvr://channels/tv/All channels/pvr.hts_550603760.tbn"
Using TVHeadend backend. Kodi server is connected (HDMI) to monitor.
HTS Tvheadend 4.3-1361~ge1c0347

My Vero4K box on another monitor (pulling from same Kodi server) has no issues...HDHomeRun works flawlessly.

Kodi immediately goes to the splash screen every other time I select a channel in the TV menu.
Anytime there was a weak signal channel selected, the server hangs and reboots.

I have many crashlogs in the kodi user directory.

Wait, what crashes exactly ?  Kodi, TVH or the whole machine ?

Install gdb and get a proper backtrace if you can.  Launching kodi normally (/usr/local/bin/kodi) will automatically attach the gdb backtrace to the crashlog.  If you already have gdb installed and there are backtraces in the logs in your home directory, upload one of those somewhere.

This -> https://paste.kodi.tv/eqificedaf  looks like it might have crashed but there's not enough info in the log to determine why Undecided

Kodi was resetting. Splash screen would come up and then back to main menu.

It appears TVHeadend had developed a mind of its own and was opening streams on both my Kodi installs.
There were no scheduled recordings but both Kodi installs with the TVHeadend PVR addon would start streaming back to the TVHeadend server, even when not in use.

Restarting the TVHeadend  service, or even rebooting the server would not stop it.

It has been removed and purged for now.

I am still having trouble with just the HDHomerun addon however.
It plays a channel for a few seconds then disappears and the Kodi splash screen comes up and back to the main menu.

I am suspecting some corrupt libraries...time to start over.

Here are some more logs with gdb installed.
I do not think I was uploading all the logs earlier.
