Hi,
The genre types are preset to DVB standards which makes perfect sense. However in cases when you can't set genre type you can set a description but this won't have an effect on the colour of the EPG entry. Most of my genre data bears little resemblance to the DVB standards.
Currently you set genreType to EPG_GENRE_USE_STRING to use the description. If you were to set genreSubType to EPG_GENRE_USE_STRING this could mean use the colour from genreType and the description for the text.
Thoughts?
