Frankly I think the Android OS Amazon's Fire TV is based on is trash for the kind of AV playback we're after right now- anything outside of Youtube.

Will add it to list of known issues on Post #1

No hardware decoding support for VC1 codec. This is why I an still using Fire TV 3 pendants -- they do support VC1 decoding, in fact Kodi 18 works very well on these, without audio passthrough and with modification to allow software decoding for SD mpreg2 and SD H.264.
I had an AFTV2 that I only replaced because I wanted to watch 4K HDR content; the AFTV2 played 4K non-HDR content and I was relatively happy with it. I have a rather large library of ISO files and a certain percentage of those were VC1 (which the AFTV1 did not work with these, AFVT2 worked fine, Fire Cube and Fire 4k did not). Since I like the Fire TV Stick 4k enough to stick with it -- I have to resolve the VC1's.
Anyway, I came here because I was transcoding (BD Rebuilder) my VC1 ISO files to x.264 ISO files and discovered the frame rate issue (which this thread helped me resolve.) and thought it was worth mentioning VC1 not listed as a problem on the original post.
