Very confused - please explain to me?
I would like to sideload Kodi on the Fire TV Stick 4K and play files from a Seagate STDR5000102 (USB 3.0 I/O & power; 4.54 TB; blue) = $109.99 https://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Backup-Po...01M00UHV8/
As I've been able to glean from reading the posts on this thread; I need to add: UGreen USB 3.0/1Gbps converter = $20.95 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LLUEJFU/ + Generic b505 microUSB host OTG cable = $3.46 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LLUEJFU/
Will Kodi 18.1/FireOS 6.2.6.3 "see" this drive or do I need a file-server (NFS, SMB, WebDAV) to push the files to Kodi?
I'm looking for a super easy solution for my non-techie sister. The Fire TV won't even be connected to the net - just a stand-alone media player.
Any help will be greatly appreciated - thanks in advance.
