Would it ever be possible to be able to set even just single reminders for shows for those of us who would just like a popup (preferably with a link to go to the channel selected, if not just to remind us)

I wrote a reminder script a few months ago but have not received feedback yet...
The scripts in beta, features visual reminders and optional auto channel change. It's available from my beta repository and most likely requires some debugging since I lack the time to properly test it.

What do you mean by infinitely loads? Let's move this conversation to the Ontime thread. If you are willing to beta test and supply debugging logs, I'll be more than happy to tune the code... THX

Is there plans on adding this feature? Only asking because I was reading that it had been planned. It's the only feature missing for me. Thank you for a great service though

Will definitely not happen for v18, but yes, if I find some time, I will implement this feature. No promises for any timelines, though.
