Good morning,

I have a i5-8400 cpu and a Gtx 1070 Ti.

For watching 1080p x264 media, currently im using hardware acceleration from the Gpu, but i notice that the Gpu load goes to about 30%(although using low voltage).

In terms of power efficiency, its better this solution or turn off the hardware acceleration and let the Cpu handle the decoding?

GPU decoding is always more efficient and more powerful, especially with formats like HEVC and the upcoming AV1. You will notice the power draw immediately when switching to software decoding (CPU).
