XBOX Leia beta 3 - scan for new content (update library) crashes Kodi on Xbox One (SMB)
#1
I had Leia Beta 2 on Xbox One working fine getting content from my Windows Server 2012 R2 server via SMB.
Got Beta 3 a few days ago and immediately Kodi would crash as soon as I initiated a scan for new content (i.e. Update Library).

Full Debug Log here - https://paste.kodi.tv/javuzanego

Smoking gun appears to be the lines 1715-1719:

Is there any known issue affecting SMB2/3 library between beta 2 and beta 3?

Interestingly, I can play the existing content that was previously scanned in under beta 2. So accessing the SMB share to play content is fine, but initiating a content scan causes it to crash.

Mine doesn't crash but it is failing to save after library updates. Like, it'll scrape just fine, add the movie to my library, but if I exit Kodi, the next time I start Kodi it does not show the latest movie I added.

Same, It hasnt worked correctly since Beta 1, so something was changed or left out from previous revisions, hopefully a fix will come soon.

I too am having issue. So movies are scanned correctly, show up in Kodi, but are not saved to database, so disappear after restart of Kodi.

However it does seem to be intermittent.

It seems that if I click go to Movied menu and then Update library it does save successfully.

But if I go to Setting > Media > Update library or Add content it does not save it successfully.
