Hey peoples

I'm getting a issue with V18,RC5 and Krypton v17 on (YCbCr 4.4.4 HDR 8 bit Dithering & no Dithering) Screen goes pink or sometimes green, I've got a temp fix where you Deselect and reselect Fullscreen Windowed, which seems to fix the colour issues.... There may need to be a tech person to look at this?! Would appreciate any feedback or suggestions.

@Buzniak Best posted in the video section or at least in your own windows thread to get as many eyes focused on your issue.

Try software rendering or pixel shaders, see if that helps, Otherwise created a new post detailing your issue (screen shots?) and link your debug log URL from a public paste-bin.

I'm unsure this is at the root (note: I'm using Windows 7 atm) but the registry contains a default resolution, given some of the messages here it might be something to investigate.

 The obvious answer is to try and change the default values to those which match the screen you desire and see if this changes anything (be sure and back-up the registry).

I went back to using the Harmony remote/hub to close kodi on exiting the Harmony Activity. Thus, launching Kodi on activity start... AVR starts first, then projector, then Kodi after a few seconds delay to ensure hdmi handshake is done.

Looks like the devs don't care about this issue, or they don't know how to fix it and won't admit it... Either way I'm done wasting time and energy.

I also use such a "trick" to solve the symptom, but its not the way to solve the Problem. Work the Kodi Team at this Problem? How can it be, that in 17.x this never happens and since 18.x we all have this Problem?

Glad you have a work-round as suggested, I never needed this and Leia works fine for me without the trick, perhaps my 1080p set-up is just too old, no doubt 4K would have me howling in the queue. The re-sizing of the display as default is likely due to the change-log (I posted the link below) and might yet be addressed in the future, patience.

(My work-round for this behaviour is to keep dual or extended pumped through the AVR, if I need to shut down the TV display, next time I need the TV, the display is perfect). As written before:
I have 2 Versions of Kodi running both on the same win10 htpc.
So i can switch between this 2 Kodi-versions from second to second.
a) Kodi 17.6 portable (running -without- resize-problems)
b) Kodi 18 portable (running -with- resize-problems) after tv off to tv on and also by switching between window/full screen.

So it is no hardware error, but a kodi 18 error.
Or a hardwareproblem only in combination with kodi 18 but not with Kodi 17.6
