Hi everyone

I just recently got two NUC Gemini lake (BOXNUC7PJYH1)and my idea is to run kodi leia and able to play file from my home network (mkv and mp4)

I have look over the internet and in this forum but i havent able to make a decisions on what is the best os to be running in this little guys

I currently install lubuntu and install kodi leia beta 3. Im very satisfied with my results except for an issue when playing videos there is some lines that appear is the conner of the video

Now what i would like to know is from the people who have this little guys what do you run and why?

I don't want to run windowns. In my experience i think linux is more stable

So far im thinking in trying LE but is there a good build for the gemini lake?

I’d go ahead and install the latest LE Leia Alpha from the Linux sub forum here. It seems to be pretty stable on my NUC5.

Please post here on how it goes if you do. There’s probably many interested.

Ok. so after trying for two days I was finally able to load LE on my NUC. Im currently testing:

# uname -a Linux NUC 4.19.0
#1 SMP Thu Nov 1 21:55:46 GMT 2018 x86_64 GNU/Linux
# lsb_release LibreELEC (Milhouse): devel-20181101215418-#1101-g76ed873 [Build #1101]
# Kodi version (18.0-BETA5 Git:bc1ca7e). Platform: Linux x86 64-bit

So far looks fine, I only having issues with the Kodi Video calibration, after setting it up correctly once I reboot the NUC the setting are lost.

Also, I currently testing NetFlex and Amazon Prime add-ons.

Video calibration should not be necessary if your TV is set up correctly to avoid any overscan.
Using video calibration via Kodi should be the last resort.
