Solved lost connection to 127.0.0.1 when network disconnected
#1
Hello all

i'm on
windows 10 1803 x64
kodi v18 b4 23 oct 2018 on localhost
dvbviewer client addon 3.7.3
recording service 1.33.2.0 on localhost
log: https://paste.kodi.tv/guxemapexu.kodi

Since i use kodi v18 i've got a problem with the pvr addon. When i lost my wifi connection the pvr addon also lost the connection to the recording service. There is no problem with dvbviewer without wifi connection established.
I've reinstalled windows, kodi and dvbviewer from scratch and the problem persist. Firewall is deactivated.
In the browser http://127.0.0.1:8089/api/version.html gives me
Quote:<version iver="18940416">
DVBViewer Recording Service 1.33.2.0 (beta) (DESKTOP-7D0JF0A)
</version>
Netstat shows me that the recording servie is listening at 0.0.0.0:8089 and 127.0.0.1:8089.
The log https://paste.kodi.tv/guxemapexu.kodi (manuel disconnect wifi at 14:24).

In hope somebody has an idea where i've to look for.

Thanks in advance

 manuel vs. manual

See https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=336813 and especially my replies. Kodi says your network is down.

Edit: For clarification: To me this looks like a bug in Kodi Core. So you should check out https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/issues. Kodi Core kills all network requests. I can't do anything about this.

Can you please describe what you've changed so others can fix it as well?

I just intend to read all the words twice before pressing Send, to prevent my self from mistaking e and a.
Will it help? Who know it?

I'm asking how you fixed your network problem :-) Because I just found https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/issues/14661

Ah, thought that the spelling was the most important for you Tongue
No, seriously now, i never read the issues on github.

What i've done is I installed a loopback network interface, so for kodi there is a established connection even if I lost my wifi connection - no further problems here.
I don't know if  that fit the problem in https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=336813 after sleep or hibernate, but it's look pretty fine to try it out.

Windows > Device manager > action/add legacy device > manuAl installation select from list > network devices > Microsoft test loopback adapter

Bear with me. My firstname is manuel. I'm seeing this mistake way too often.

Ok so you created an interface that is always up/connected. Thanks for the information.

Should be fixed in RC2

Yes it is fixed, i've been tested it. With the test build the loopback adapter isn't need anymore.
