Ok. So you are saying that it works for you in latest versions of libreelec with working blackbord detection, it does not grab also subtitles,...
Be more specific....

I've build hyperion.ng from https://github.com/Paulchen-Panther/hype...e/BugFixes. Still flickering leds. Maybe a little better, but still there. Hard to tell, if its better. I'm lossing also the feeling to tell after so much tries.

TNX for feedback. Is seems that the only sollution is to dig into addon since it seems that the key lies in the addon.

I do not have 18 installed at the moment.
Can you try this addon:

I tried already this one https://github.com/hyperion-project/hype...its/master. I've used the master branch, which is newer than the one from RickDB and has also the improvements from RickDB in it, but also flickering leds Sad

Edit: Nope you are right. The misc-improvements branch is a little bit different. Will try it as soon as i'm at home.

Still light flickering with this branch https://github.com/RickDB/hyperion.kodi/...provements. Looks for me as if kodis sends some faulty image from time to time. my leds are flickering white.

Yes same to me, it flickers white. Too bad, will stay on latest stable for now.

I've made a debug version of the hyperion.kodi script (Release 1.0.2 https://github.com/hyperion-project/hype...i/releases), which will save the image from the kodi capture to /storage/screenshots/.

Looks like every couple of images, a faulty image will be returned from kodi capture. Have a look at the screenshot.
It captures not the whole screen, but some part of the top left where the debug message is.

Tried the same plugin also on my windows 10 pc. All created images returned by the getImages method are fine. Maybe only a problem on libreelec/linux.

Debug hyperion.kodi script available at: https://github.com/hasenbolle/hyperion.kodi

Log from a faulty image: https://pastebin.com/k5Xz3nta

Here is a version which workaround the flickering of leds by filtering faulty data: https://github.com/hasenbolle/hyperion.k...workaround. After a short test it worked for me.

But this is only a workaround, not a fix!

Great troubleshoot.
Can you test also livetv with deinterlacing enabled when the live tv screen plays not in full screen. I have tried it this way and it was blinking a lot. I have used confluence skin.
I will try it in following days when I will prepare my test box.
I hope somone like @FernetMenta or @fritsch can shed some light.

Yes if live tv (German channel: Pro7HD 50hz interlaced with deinterlacing enabled) is not in fullscreen, i have also flickering with the workaround.

I will see if i can enhance the filtering of the faulty capture data.

And what is the output of pictures when not in full screen with debug enabled build?

Just did a short test this morning. I will have a look at it after work.

Same behaviour as before without the filtering, just a different faulty image. With the workaround it should be clearly better on fullscreen, but when not on fullscreen, it's the same as before. I cannot workaround that, because i don't know which capture image has errors.

Have a look at the screenshot. I was watching live tv in background and the estuary start screen was showing.

On the image 751.jpg you can clearly see some control from the estuary skin and the debug message. Looks like it is also upside down.

Btw, something wich maybe is related to this:
if the debug log message (which is showing on the top left screen) is enabled, the debug log message is moving from time to time. Some times ~50px up. Then ~50px left, and so on. Also if no video is playing. Strange Big Grin
