Solved TV Show not scrape-able anymore :(
#1
Hi,
I had a TV show in my library and it showed up until last week...
Last week I decided to re-transcode my BluRays, so I deleted the TV show and rescaped (+cleaned up) => TV Show was gone in Kodi. Fine.
When Handbrake was done with its job, I added the TV show anew (incl. new folder and files, but same names) to the library.
Now, the TV show does not show up in my library :-(

Code:

VideoInfoScanner: Scanning dir 'N:\Videos\Serien\XXX\' as not in the database
...
No information found for item 'N:\Videos\Serien\XXX\', it won't be added to the library.

Log:
http://paste.osmc.tv/raw/lesifufove

Another less important issue/question, when I check the log:
How to avoid scanning of deleted TV shows...
Code:

VIDEO::CVideoInfoScanner :: Process directory 'N:\Videos\Serien\YYY\' does not exist - skipping scan
This TV show was deleted several months ago... It will never come back.

Thanks,
eusi

Looks like you have NFO Files there somewhere. Delete them as the contain the unusable v1.0 TVDB API.

@Karellen
Thanks for your answer!

There is no nfo file in this folder.
Folder structure:
Root
|- TVShow
|-- Season n
|--- TVShow - Nx0E - Episode.mkv

I have already deleted %AppData%\Roaming\Kodi\cache - but no effect.
Same happens on Odroid C2 + LibreElec (latest Krypton release ~8.2.5).

Ok. So there is some other entry somewhere which is using the outdated v1.0 API.

Just run through the exact steps of what you have done. Sounds like you did the following...
1. You had BluRay folders using \BDMV\index.bdmv structure.
2. You deleted them from your library and your HDD
3. You added them back as xxx.mkv or similar format
4. Scraped them back to the library.

Correct where I have gone wrong.

@Karellen  Eh, no. The folder structure was identical.

Like a week ago, the structure looked like this:
NAS
|- TVshow-folder
|-- Season1-folder
|--- Episode1.avi
|--- Episode2.avi
|--- ...

Then I deleted the TVshow-folder (incl. all content).
Some cleanups and days were gone then...
Then I copied the fresh new transcoded TVshow to the NAS.
Structure:
NAS
|- TVshow-folder
|-- Season1-folder
|--- Episode1.mkv
|--- Episode2.mkv
|--- ...

Exactly the same structure (same folder and file names etc.), but when I remember correctly, the extension was avi before (and it is mkv now).

Yes, and what did you do in Kodi?

Did you delete the TV Show from the library first. Or did you leave the TV Show there and just delete the episodes and then Scan For New Content? or something else?

@Karellen
I only deleted the TV Show folder on NAS. That is all.
However, I use "Library Auto Update" which cleans up the library after a daily "Scan For New Content".

So, after the "daily clean" the TV Show wasn't display in the library any longer (of course this was a correct behavior, because I deleted the entire TV Show physically).

And now, after re-adding the TV Show to the NAS, it won't show up, as mentioned Undecided

Ok, that is the problem.

The simple fix is to delete the TV Show from your library and rescrape and this will fix the outdated API issue. A Clean library wouldn't hurt either.

This is an explanation of the problem, and also provides other ways to fix it if the above is not suitable for you... https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=323588

 @Karellen
Ok, what I did now:
1. I moved the TV Show to my Computer (from NAS)
2. I scanned for new content
3. I cleaned up the library
4. I closed Kodi
5. I deleted AppData\Roaming\Kodi\cache content
6. I moved the TV Show back to the NAS
7. Started Kodi and executed a "scan for new content"

Result: 7. couldn't find the TV Show. Sad
"Missing Movies"-addon finds all episodes of the TV Show, but the scraper is not able to add it to the library...

Did I do something wrong in my list?

P.S. The last part of the log (guess it is the same as in the debug log)
Code:
22:30:47.951 T:10004   ERROR: CCurlFile::Open failed with code 404 for https://api.thetvdb.com/series/75340/episodes:

Those steps you make don't really make much sense.

All you need to do is
1. Delete Prison Break TV Show from the library (including the episodes)
2. Clean Library (not really required, but will remove leftover entries)
3. Scrape Prison Break back into the library.

The problem now is not with your video files, but with the entries in the Kodi database, so there is no need to be shuffling files between hard disks.

@Karellen Thanks for your effort man!
And sorry... I feel like a noob... But... How to delete that TV Show from the library? Actually I cannot see the TV Show in the library, so how to delete it? Via SQLite DB?

EDIT
Ok, I found a way to find the TV Show, even it is not visible in the library... I used the "search local library" and actually it founds the TV Show Oo... Then I hit manage -> remove from library, clean library and then scan for new content...

Finally the "scraper" found the TV Show, HOWEVER it does not find any images and only 5 episodes (very random 01, 02, 03 and 22 of Season 1 and 09 of Season 5)...

Any idea? Undecided

No problems at all Smile

To see empty TV Shows enable 3.6 Show empty TV shows here... https://kodi.wiki/view/Settings/Media/Videos#Library (personally I think that should be enabled by default)

Yep, that is, surprisingly, expected. The entry at TVDB seems to be a complete mess. Maybe I am looking at the wrong show, but there are no images, only 5 episodes and other seasons are empty.

Is this the correct show... https://www.thetvdb.com/series/prison-break If you have an account at TVDB forums, maybe it might be a good idea to report it? Maybe it was vandelised.

I just looked at TheMovieDB and they have a much better listing for the show... https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/2288-priso...uage=en-US
Maybe consider swapping scrapers to TheMovieDB-TV Shows in your scraper settings using Get more... If you do, you will need to follow those 3 steps again.

Ah, ok, didn't expect that the TV Show still exists even I delete the entire TV Show folder. Thought it was gone anyway... Well thanks for clarification, I will turn it on from now on Wink

Wow... for me, this is a surprise... Because it worked some days ago... Even in Google's cache it is still correct (christmas snapshot):

Ok, I will create a ticket on their forum.

Thanks @Karellen for everything - I think this is solved now :-)

Don't expect any response though. It is not a helpful forum at all. I just noticed the show is unlocked so if you get any response it might be along the lines of... it is unlocked, you can fix it.
