If i choose a movie poster that is high res and sharp, then choose another poster and then go back to pick the high res poster again, its not sharp anymore, but blurry and bad quality. I cant seem to get the high res poster back again.

What to do??

Check out 2.4 Library artwork and 2.4.5 imagescalingalgorithm in advancedsettings.xml (wiki) Your images likely have been resized for speed.

Thanks, but what is the max value i can use in "imageres" and "fanartres" ?

I have actually not noticed this before, but i see now that all my posters are downscaled after i restart kodi. (i have to bring up the info screen on the movie so i get the big poster to see it)

I have tried putting a high value on imageres and tried scalealgorythm to lanczos but it did not help.

Most skins are 1080p atm, an advance on that have yet to be implemented from what I could see https://kodi.wiki/view/Kodi_v18_(Leia)_changelog this may change in the near future as 4K skins and artwork become the norm.

Once your meta-data has been scanned and optimized and held in the cache you would need to refer to https://kodi.wiki/view/Artwork/Cache#Tex...timization to re-enable the cache for your changes to be effective. Artwork/Cache (wiki) If in the optimization algorithm you feel the PQ is lost, this can be changed from the list available 2.4.5 imagescalingalgorithmut
