Currently Kodi has an option to enable the crossfading of audio tracks on the same album. Crossfading would be particularly useful when shuffle-playing multiple albums (e.g. when pressing "play" on a folder containing all CDs from a particular artist, each album sitting in its own subfolder). I play trance music a lot, and most of these are mixed albums which means that when you randomize the order of tracks the transition from one mixed track to another can be rather jarring. On the other hand, when playing tracks in their "native" order, crossfade only gets in the way on a mixed album.
Therefore an option to crossfade all tracks in the playlist, but only when shuffle playing is enabled, would be a Good Thing, and there would be much rejoicing.
