Hi all,
I am using a Samsung smart remote to control my shield (and in turn Kodi) and it works great except for one minor issue.
It doesn't issue an Android Home Screen command so I am struggling to get it to go back to the android dashboard and leave Kodi running (which it seems to need to pull through Kodi thumbnails).
I am familiar with keymapper and have for a while mapped a button on my remote to exit Kodi which works fine, I just wondered if there was a way within Kodi to minimise the program, skip back to last used app, lose focus, go to homescreen or basically do anything that will come out of Kodi but leave it in a running state in the background?
Because the launcher is a built-in app it does not show up in Kodi android programs. I also tried installing a launch on boot program and was going to shortcut that within Kodi, but again the launcher does not show within that program.
There must be a way to do this.
