Dear Kodi devlopers,

will this huge bug be fixed in Kodi 18.5?
Or is Kodi Lea now back to alpha stage? Smile

No and nobody is working on it.

Does it work now?

Why can c64 play video and audio faster and slower while 2020 Hardware with Kodi/Libreelec isn't able to do it?

Because there are so many demanding leechers out there and no one investing their freetime to fix low hanging fruit bugs. Second reason is, that average IQ has fallen a lot in the last years, you can easily see that when people generalize a local problem to make it a global issue. Rough times, not sure they will change.

How many time do we have to wait that a simple function (playback video & audio slower/faster) is done?
I mean, is it complicated vst instruments virtual tb-303 audio code?

So, kodi devs. please do something, that also europeans get the best quality out of kodi.

As you say it's so simple:

start here. If you have questions, just ask - but low hanging fruits, as you think it is, is best solved by new contributors. Therefore go ahead.

Just tried on Android. Works perfectly fine. 60 hz Display and 23.98 (exactly 23.976) fps input, it's speed up to 24.0 and played at 60 hz.

So what exactly is your problem?

I have a feeling it's gone a little off the original topic, but I imagine it's the same issue I have.

Looks like the speedup from 23.976 to 24.000 is resolved, but the 23.976 to 25.000 speedup (~104.271%) that used to be possible (to sync to 50hz displays) no longer is.

If you don't have a 120hz display you have to settle for 24fps @ 60hz with pulldown.
I'm guessing most people are ok with this, but I can't stand pulldown judder, which was why the speedup to sync with the display's 50hz mode was a godsend.

Seems like Krypton v17.6 was the last version that did this. Still happy enough using it, but hopefully someone will restore this option in the latest builds. Either that or I should probably just get a 120hz display 🤔

25p I fixed some days ago. But it's not yet merged and will be v19 only.

Let me know what kind of test build you need.

Sweet, thanks.  Although I just realised I'm in the Android section Confused   ..I assume the same fix will be in the Windows release too?  If so, then a Windows build if possible.
