My Fire stick 4k is running Kodi. It is plugged into my TV's HDMI port. My TV connects to my surround sound amp via a separate HDMI ARC.
I just can't get surround sound to work properly like this! If I play surround sound test files (DD+, DTS-ES, TrueHD etc) sound comes out of the wrong channels. If I play a surround sound .opus file, I only get sound from the front two speakers.
The amp is set to "Direct" - so it isn't adding in ProLogic, NeuralX, or any other enhancements. The Fire is set to play all audio types. Kodi is set to 5.1, and passthrough. I've even tried it with passthrough off - but the channels are still messed up.
Anyone know what settings I should use? Or what debug logs I should look at?
