automate scrapping and updating of nfo files?

is there away to automate scrapping of new movies and updating the nfo files of existing ones (ex. when a new srt is added to the folder of a movie)?

You could call TMM via commandline
https://github.com/tinyMediaManager/tiny...-arguments
tinyMediaManager - THE media manager of your choice :)
Wanna help translate TMM ?

cool thx! this is what I needed.

For existing scrapped movies, is there an option to generate a new nfo file only if there has been new subtitle files added?

Kodi does not really need this in NFO - it will find them when correctly named...

Kodi does not detect them until I play the movie .. this is why I am using tinymediamanager so that it writes/indexes the subtitles in the nfo file and I let Kodi read the local nfo files.

This is more accurate

True.
We still write the (deprecated!) streaminfo... so you see it before play.
Didn't think of that.

I' think, just adding a new file would not tirgger a NFO rewrite... is this correct?
We might want to add this (in v3)

yup I think so. Yeah would be great if this is added to v3.

meanwhile is there a way to "rebuild all nfo files" via commandline so that I can automate it?
