v18 Problems with xbmc.Player()

hi
for some reason in kodi 18 i am getting '0' for xbmc.Player().isPlayingVideo() even when the video is playing and this "xbmc.Player().getTotalTime()"  also '0' all the time.
what can i do?

Don't like my chances since you didn't get a reply in months, but I am seeing this as well - in particular getTotalTime returning 0.  It works maybe one in four times..

i solved it you need to wait for the video to start for a little time and the the reading is correct.
