Slow or lost frames when playing DVD MKV content
#1
I've freshly installed LibreELEC (Kodi 18) on a Chromebox.  While Blu-ray content plays properly, all DVD MKV play with missing frames making it "jerky".

I've tried adjusting the de-interlacting, I've tried changing the Kodi Video settings, I've enabled/disabled passthrough audio.

I'm not sure what else I need to adjust as Kodi 17 worked quite well.  Are there other settings I should investigate?

Thanks

Resolved:  For those using an Asus Chromebox (CN60), the instructions at Chromebox Wiki are no longer valid regarding DVD/SD source interlacing settings for LE9 (Kodi 18).

It explains to use Deinterlace method VAAPI - Motion compensated with Video scaling method - Lanczos3 - Optimised.

After experimenting, I could only use Video scaling method - Bilinear or Nearest neighbour.  All other scaling methods introduced lost frames.  When I used one or the other, it played back properly.
